About Me

I have always loved travelling and when I got married 8 years ago, my husband and I wanted to travel as much as we could. Once we had our first daughter our priorities shifted and I realised the life I was living back then wasn’t what I wanted to do in the long term. So I quit my job and went back to university to study for my master’s in Secondary Teaching. At the start of 2020, we took a mesmerising family holiday and our love for travel came back, so we had planned to go on many more trips that year and the next… Then that thing happened in 2020 that shut down the world of tourism and travel. By the time travel in Australia was opening back up, we had our second child, I was working and we were trying to manage life back to how it was pre 2020. We did a couple of domestic holidays, but then at the start of 2024 we went on another international holiday that was something we had never seen before and it was spectacular. From then I have realised that travel and tourism is my passion project. It’s what feeds my soul and I absolutely love doing it with the people who matter the most to me!

As a mother who cherishes every moment of discovery and adventure, I’ve always believed that the world is our greatest classroom. My journey began with a deep passion for exploring new horizons, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and creating unforgettable memories with my loved ones. At Blog That Travels, we celebrate everyone’s unique travel journey and the beauty of inspiration and discovery. I hope you love this blog as much as I love writing and designing it. Keep up to date with points and miles news, Australian Aviation News (and some global ones too!), destinations and experiences.
